Welcome to Cave Hill: Where We Burn Things for Fun
Hey y’all, welcome to the official Cave Hill Wood Co. blog! We’re so glad you’re here—and honestly, we’re kind of surprised ourselves. We’ve been elbow-deep in sawdust, wood stain, and incense for years, and now we’ve decided it’s time to pull up a virtual chair and invite you into our world.
We’re Amy and John, the husband-and-wife team behind the flames. Cave Hill Wood Co. was born in the Kentucky hills from a shared love of working with our hands and making people laugh (sometimes uncomfortably). What started as a creative outlet turned into a full-blown business—complete with handmade chaos, power tools, and a lot of burned fingertips.
So, what do we actually do?
We create handcrafted woodburned decor, sassy keychains, hand-dipped incense, and a whole lot of items that’ll make your friends laugh… and maybe your mom gasp. Our shop is full of rustic charm, a dash of attitude, and plenty of personality. Every piece is made with love, grit, and a big ol’ sense of humor.
Whether it’s a “Sensitive Savage” hoodie, a keychain shaped like a flying penis, or a sign that tells it like it is, we’re here for the bold, the weird, and the handmade.
Why a blog?
Great question. Between carving, burning, staining, and packaging, we realized we had a lot of stories to tell—about where we started, the crazy things we’ve learned, the behind-the-scenes chaos of a small business, and the downright weird stuff we’ve made. We wanted to build a space where we can share the real stuff. The fun stuff. The slightly unhinged stuff.
Expect sneak peeks, product reveals, craft tutorials, the occasional rant, and a whole lot of heart. (And maybe a swear word or two.)
Thanks for being here.
Seriously—we’re grateful for every customer, follower, supporter, and fellow weirdo who’s cheered us on. We wouldn’t be here without you.
Now, let’s burn some stuff and make some magic.
