Welcome to Cave Hill Wood Co., where we specialize in burning wood, hand-dipping incense, and so much more.
We’re a small, family-run business tucked into the hills of Kentucky, crafting one-of-a-kind woodburned decor, digital tools, and cheeky little items your grandma probably shouldn’t see. What started as a creative outlet turned into a full-blown obsession—complete with sawdust in our coffee and sarcasm in our souls.
The fire behind Cave Hill? That’s me, Amy. I’m the maker, designer, and voice behind the brand. In 2016, I was diagnosed with cancer—and everything changed. Between treatments, appointments, and the kind of exhaustion that hits deep, I needed something that felt like mine. Something that gave me purpose, comfort, and a little control in the middle of the chaos.
So I picked up a woodburning tool.
What began as a way to pass time during chemo became a lifeline. I started making bookmarks, keychains, and small pieces that helped me feel grounded. Then came planners, incense, digital downloads—tools to organize the mess and bring a little beauty back into my days. Slowly, Cave Hill Wood Co. took shape. It became more than a shop. It became a space for healing, creativity, and connection.
John—my husband and occasional co-creator—is a full-time paramedic who helps out when he can. He cuts the wood, lends his power tool wizardry, and keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes. He’s the calm to my chaos, the grit to my sass, and the reason I haven’t burned the house down (yet).
Every piece that leaves our worktable is made with heart, humor, and just enough attitude to make it unforgettable. From rustic signs to wildly inappropriate keychains, planners to hand-dipped incense, we believe in keeping things honest, handmade, and a little bit hilarious.
We love good people, bad words, and the smell of fresh cedar and coffee. If you’re here for handmade with a twist—or just want to laugh while you shop—you’ve found your people.
Thanks for stopping by our weird little corner of the internet. Stick around. It gets rowdy.
